In the village of Nandimarg in Kashmir Valley, twenty four innocent Hindus (including eleven women and two children) were murdered in cold blood by Islamic terrorists on 23rd March 2003. They were called out of their homes during the night, made to stand in a line and then shot dead.
They had not committed any act that could have remotely upset others. What was unacceptable to their murderers was that any Hindus should still be living in Kashmir.
Since 1989, the terrorists have perpetrated brutal acts against the non-Muslims including torture rape and murder, with the specific aim of getting rid of all non-Muslim citizens from Jammu & Kashmir State.
These atrocities are being repeated year in and year out. It is a matter of deep regret and indeed shame that people of goodwill, world governments and non-governmental organisations have turned a blind eye to the genocide of a peaceful community.
